Well, after 14 years, we said good-bye to our beagle Chloe. I have mixed emotions about the whole thing. It has been somewhat of a reflective time for me as I think about how emotionally attached we become to pets. Putting all that aside, Chloe was great with the kids, well behaved, and a wonderful member of our family.

Those mornings I got up early in the morning, or those nights when I was up late, would always find her lying by my feet. She was always the first one to greet me at the door when I got home, and the one always ready to help clean the floor around the table after dinner!

We miss her, but yet as we head into Christmas, we look to God to meet all of our needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever, Amen! Philippians 4:19-20
